Jessica is an internationally recognized artist, with a YouTube channel ranked #25 for oil painting as well as workshops filling from all over the world. She has won numerous national awards and honors. Jessica’s work has been featured on book covers, magazines and is eagerly collected from coast to coast.  She has been a featured artist in publications such as the December 2016, 2017, and 2018 issues of “Western Art Collector.” She appears in “Put Some Colour in Your Life” a TV show seen in over 16 countries with an audience of over 50 million worldwide. She is best known for her engaging and “down-to-earth” personality as well as her experience and knowledge of painting.

At a young age, Jessica began serious oil painting studies under the guidance of Harvey Schroeder and David Leffel. She received her classical training at the Atelier LeSueur Studio School of Classical Art. In the spring of 1997, Jessica moved to the Blue Mountains of Joseph, Oregon, where she became the owner and operator of The Joseph Art School.

In 2017, Jessica cofounded Renaissance Creative Arts, LLC, a business devoted to teaching art, inspiring and giving back to the world. In conjunction with this, she serves as the primary instructor in the Renaissance Academy of Fine Arts, an online art academy. Traveling the world, Jessica extensively seeks out the best plein air locations to create unique art videos and enjoys setting up workshops anywhere from Ireland to England to Australia.

Jessica has finished an exhaustive book (500 pages) written for Renaissance Academy students, covering all aspects of Classical Impressionism. Volume 1 focuses on developing the artist from beginning drawing, to watercolor, plein air, portraiture, still life and to advanced conceptual finished paintings at mastery level. Volume 2, still under development, will cover specific advanced topics. Both are accessible to academy members only at this time.

With 30 years painting experience and 25 years teaching experience, Jessica will meet you wherever you are in your journey with knowledge and understanding. Jessica presents a comprehensive artistic experience while encouraging art students to find their own unique voice.
