Walk on the wild side in Southwest France with Rae Andrews. Watercolor or medium of choice
About Rae..An Australian artist who moved to the United States in 1991. Owned a 400 student art school in Australia and two art galleries on the island of Maui, before moving to Austin Texas in 2002. Color and movement is her thing. She loves to push the boundaries with splashy and spontaneous watercolor; design and leaving a lot of white paper visible. Rae paints in all media and has been a professional artist and teacher for over 45 years.*** Rae will mainly demonstrate in watercolor, and how she approaches her travel journals ; as well as larger format watercolors. As she also paints and teaches in all mediums, she encourages students to bring whichever medium they love, and she will provide ‘at easel ‘ personal instruction to those students not painting in watercolor..

The 10 day painting workshop that I will lead at Le Vieux Couvent will be an event of artistic magnificence. We will work/experiment with oil, water based, or mixed media, including some of the new water based ink media, and water soluble graphite media recently available in reputable art supply shops. Most of our days will be spent out of doors, working en plein air. What a delight our time together will be!

Painted travels: A travel journaling working with Laure Ferlita
Laure Ferlita is an award-winning artist, teacher, traveller, pursuer of the path less travelled and an avid journal keeper. Going through her days with a sketchbook in hand, she finds it is quiet moments she most wants to capture on her pages. Watercolours and art journaling helps Laure to slow down the frenzied pace of like so she can capture many of the moments that swiftly disappear from memory due to the constant onslaught of daily living.
